# Delete Object

> Remove an object from a bucket

<Note>
  Make sure you have WRITE permission on the bucket.
</Note>

## Delete Object

Removes an object from a bucket. The operation is idempotent - sending multiple delete requests to the same object has no additional effect.

### Base URL

### Parameters

<ParamField path="objectKey" required>
  The key of the object to delete
</ParamField>

### Headers

<ParamField header="x-amz-mfa" optional>
  The MFA authentication code when MFA Delete is enabled
</ParamField>

<ParamField header="x-amz-version-id" optional>
  Version ID of the object to delete (for versioned buckets)
</ParamField>
